Methodology and Actions

Dorcas serves children and adolescents aged 4 to 18, Monday through Saturday, offering activities that stimulate learning, social interaction, and strengthening of family and community bonds. The program is especially aimed at young people in situations of social vulnerability, seeking to transform challenges into opportunities for growth.

What we offer

Education

Support for literacy and reading, with school guidance offered in a playful and creative way.

Culture

Since 2017 Dorcas maintains the Music in the Neighborhood Project through the Cultural Incentive Law, in addition to other artistic activities.

Ensemble Simul

Recorder and Early Music Group. Currently 6 adolescents, volunteer teachers and guest musicians participate.

Technology

Robotics, basic programming and computer science content, providing digital inclusion.

Sports

We promote and encourage physical health through educational circuits, soccer, athletics, and capoeira.

Youth Impulse

Essential courses for first employment, such as finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and more.

Citizenship, Rights and Duties

We address topics such as civil and political rights, environmental care and others.

Pastoral

Promoting spiritual guidance for children, adolescents, their families and collaborators.

Dorcas Scout Group

Christian social project that, through scouting, stimulates physical, social, intellectual and character development.

Dorcas Thrift Store

Donations, mainly clothing, sold in our thrift store help maintain the four daily meals we provide.

Capoeira

With rhythm and acrobatics, it promotes physical conditioning and motor coordination.

Dance

Movement for the body, mind, and spirit stimulates creativity and strengthens self-esteem.
