Music in the Neighborhood Resumes Activities

It is with great joy that we welcomed over 200 students to our workshops on music education, recorder, brass instruments, and choral singing.

Music in the Neighborhood program aims to promote the musical, sociocultural, cognitive, and emotional development of children and teenagers served by Dorcas.

This is achieved through the ongoing provision of activities such as workshops, immersive experiences, and artistic performances.

These activities help strengthen skills and attitudes such as extroversion, team spirit, tolerance, and emotional balance.

Enthusiasm, discoveries, and curiosity marked the first classes, which provided a welcoming and inclusive experience, featuring an initial introduction to instruments, sounds, rhythms, and songs.

Heart Overflowing with Gratitude!

Far beyond the music, the concert The Sound of Transformation was a celebration of the talent that flourishes at Dorcas.

More than 150 people attended, honoring the impeccable work of Adriano Trarbach and the Ensemble Simul Group.

Seeing the full house assures us that our community believes in the power of music education.
