| Earlier this year, we were proud to see our brass students and teachers take part in the 41st Curitiba Music Workshop, held between January 25th and February 4th. |

| Dorcas was awarded 5 scholarships for brass students: one for trumpet, three for euphonium and one for trombone. |
|
As part of the support offered by Dorcas, the five selected students received food vouchers and transportation for the eleven days of classes. |
|
| This initiative gave the students the opportunity to interact with musicians from different cultural and social contexts. |
|
| In addition, they experienced a sense of independence by moving around independently, as well as the chance to attend a variety of concerts, thus enriching their musical training. |
|
| Throughout the workshop, the students took part in the event's brass ensemble, as well as being part of the symphonic band, which performed at the prestigious Teatro Guaíra. |
|
| This enriching experience not only strengthened their musical skills, but also contributed to their personal and professional growth. |
|
| We are extremely pleased with our students' performance and dedication during this significant event, and we hope to continue supporting their musical and educational journeys in the future. |

Music in the Neighborhood |

| The Music in the Neighborhood Project began with the pedagogical week, which included lectures and a reminder of the PAICA methodology (Programa de Atendimento Integral da Criança e do Adolescente - Comprehensive Child and Adolescent Care Program) that permeates teaching at Dorcas. |
|
| During this week, the music teachers prepared the teaching material and took great care in maintaining the instruments, preparing the lessons and the schedule… whew! It's a lot to put 240 children and teenagers through all the workshops. |
|
| Everything was prepared with great care, and here come the crowd, full of energy and enthusiasm. The rush begins. |

| Brass workshop, flute workshop, each with three learning levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced. Choral singing: two children's choirs and one for teenagers. |

| Each one looking for their own space, their own room, their own teacher… First week: that delicious mess and then everyone settling in! |
