| Dorcas Project is like a daily care hospital for children and teenagers.
It deals with bodies, minds and souls. It takes care of nutrition, health, education, values, feelings and emotions.
It provides well-being, physical and emotional safety, restores wings to create freedom and make it possible to dream again. |

| At Dorcas, in musical initiation classes, children learn by playing! |

| Through playful games, they discover the melodic contours that their voice is capable of reaching. |
|
| Currently, musicalization activities take place on Wednesdays and Fridays, divided into 4 groups, reaching 50 children. |
|

| | This year we started the percussion workshop, with the objective of accompanying the brass group. |
|
| In addition, students have experienced a repertoire of Brazilian rhythms. |
|
The study of percussion has enabled notions of motor coordination, pulse and rhythm. |
|
| Trombone is one of the instruments of the brass family that are part of the lessons at Dorcas. |
|
| Today we have 8 trombones. There are 16 students, divided into morning and afternoon. In the 1st year, students start as beginners. In the 2nd year they are intermediate. From the 3rd year onwards, advanced students have the possibility to play in the orchestra. |

| Trombone is an instrument that has a wide range of notes, ranging from low to high ones. It is clearly identified by the part called "stick" which is used for changing notes. |
|
| Our former student Adriano da Silva Trarbach came from Germany to visit his family and the Dorcas Project. |
|
| In addition to participating in some presentations with Dorcas, he performed in a concert at Capela Santa Maria, where he played recorder and Baroque cello, along with Clenice Ortigara on harpsichord and organ and with his college colleague Mariana Gomes, Portuguese Baroque soprano and violinist. |
|
| The program began with pieces from the 16th century, such as the traditional English “Greensleeves”, passing through Telemann, Händel, Corelli and other composers from the Baroque period, then arriving in Brazil and ending with the chorinho Tico-Tico no Fubá. |

| On September 3rd, a group of flutes from Dorcas - Projeto Música no Bairro participated in Música na Igrejinha (Church of God Lutheran Community). |
|
| In addition to the group, our teacher Leonardo also played with his teacher Noara. |

| As one of our social counterparts, on September 23rd we held two presentations at the Tancredo Neves state college! |
|
| With the purpose of presenting the songs we worked on during the year to the neighborhood and to the school where many children and teenagers attended by Dorcas study. |

| On Sunday, August 21st, we had the Dorcas service. It was a special service, full of stories. |
|
| The prelude was to Sonata Nº 3 in C major by Arcangelo Corelli, played by former Dorcas student Adriano da Silva Trarbach and his colleague from the University of Hamburg, Mariana Gomes. |
|
| The worship was led by the Dorcas worship group conducted by the teacher Roberto Guimarães dos Santos. |

| It was a celebratory service with the participation of Pipa Amarela choir, the Brass and Percussion Group and a moment of grtitude to pstor Egon and Rúbia, who was music professor t Dorcas for 13 years. |

| Another special moment was to remember beautiful stories that God started in the lives of Dorcas children and adolescents, with Dudu preching the message about how God changes stories in our lives. |
