THE ACTIVITIES IN 2022 HAS STARTED AT DORCAS

We started attending children and teenagers from Monday to Saturday at full speed.

It’s been a rush, a lot of work really, but also lots of joy when seeing familiar faces, receiving their smiles and hugs, as well as meeting new ones full of hope and curiosity.

Enrollments

A time to confirm data and to hear many stories told by parents.

We now serve
170 children and teenagers daily!

Pedagogical Week

We had the Pedagogical Week with the whole Dorcas Project team.

Topics we discussed:

Construction of the main theme for 2022:“I ama Dripof Painton a FullColored Canvas”, which is the result of listening to children, teens, and their families during 2021;
Dorcas team integration and alignment;
Experience for a more creative educational practice and planning;
Training on Community Service and Strengthening of Links (Serviço de Convivência e Fortalecimento de Vínculos - SCFV). We warmly welcome our new employees!

New Teachers

We got three new teachers to help us improve the quality of our teaching and also join us in our vision of providing a better perspective of life for the children and teenagers we serve.

Beginning of Activities with Children and Teenagers

The children and teenagers were welcomed with an integration day, lots of games and challenges: sack race, ring toss, mister balloon, ice drying and soap games.

GED (Grupo Escoteiro Dorcas) - Dorcas Scout Group

We resumed the activities for Dorcas Scout Group!

So much joy and longing for the guys!
All the groups together!
A colorful playground, smiles on their faces, new discoveries.

Activities on Saturdays from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Young Impulse Program

The program meets the longing teenagers and young people have, also aiming at achieving financial independence. It is linked to school and learning, promoting the development of skills and competencies necessary for employment opportunities.

We want every teenager and young person with a diploma in hand!

Dorcas Solidarity Market

The Dorcas Solidarity Market has resumed its activities.

The families enrolled at Dorcas Project had the opportunity to choose their own food.

Good conversations always arise in this environment, a time for tightening relationships.

Dorcas Second Hand Shop

The financial result from the sales a tour second hand shop has the specific purpose of buying food for 170 children and teenagers who are served at Dorcas Project.

As a result, we offer 4 meals a day for children and teenagers who attend Dorcas Project after school hours.
